Construction Skills Training (CST) Program



TUSDEC (Technology Upgradation and Skill Company) has been actively participating in the rehabilitation of IDPs in rural South Punjab. One such initiative is the disbursement of employable skills trainings to flood affectees in the areas of Rakh Ehsanpur and Daira Din Panah, near Kotaddu, District Muzaffargarh which is being carried out in collaboration with Engro Foundation and Farmers Development Organization (FDO).

Engro Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to growth of sustainable societies in which people have access to choices and opportunities for development. The Engro Foundation serves as a single platform for community engagement activities and social investment of Engro Affiliates.

FDO is also a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and strengthen the disadvantaged and vulnerable segments of society for the realization of their rights by means of collective action through social mobilization, capacity building, facilitating provision of basic amenities, livelihood support and evidence-based advocacy.

Engro Foundation was allotted 20 acres of land in Rakh Ehsanpur, Muzaffargarh for the construction of a new village for flood affected population under the Punjab Model Village Program by the Punjab Government. FDO committed to develop and strengthen the community. Engro Foundation and FDO desired to implement a Construction Skills Training (CST) Program for the Model Village thereby enabling livelihood opportunities and wished to engage TUSDEC for this purpose.
