Performance Management - A toolkit for Managers

Introduction:
This course enables managers to understand their role within the Performance Management framework of an organisation. It demonstrates how each individuals performance is intricately linked with the performance of his or her peers and how effective performance management can revolutionalize organisations. It equips managers with the skills required to evaluate their own performance and that of others to enable achievement of personal, departmental and organisational goals. The course incorporates latest research which demonstrates that 'behavioural competencies' and not 'skills' are the cornerstones of good performance management, and that analysing behavioural competencies is essential not only for recruitment, but also for performance management and professional development. |
Workshop contents:
Develop and implement a structured system of performance management using behavioural competencies suited to the needs of their organisation
Understand that performance management is a continuous process of feedback, improvement and goal-setting
Understand and use various performance management templates such as job plans, job descriptions, performance review forms, etc for successful career planning
Learn the importance of 360 degree feedback and develop the skills to use it effectively
Effectively manage issues such as poor performance, interpersonal conflicts, employee morale, etc
Use proper motivation techniques to further encourage and improve effective performance and instil a cycle of continuous improvement in the organisation
Enhance practical knowledge of participants through case studies, interactive teamwork, role plays & presentations
