Introduction:
This course presents the basic procedures for determining the cooling/heating units and distribution system required for a building in order to maintain comfort atmosphere for people. This course will also help in determining and evaluating building heat loads, air circulation quantities, use of psychometric processes, computing the cooling unit & air handler tonnage, and sizing the air distribution ducts.
| Course Coverage:
Heat Conduction & Thermal Resistance
Building walls
Building attic & basement
Building heat loads
Psychometric chart
Air Conditioning calculations
Duct sizing
Ventilation
Cooling Load Temperature Difference & Heating Degree Days |
Participant Profile:
This course is designed for mechanical engineers/diploma holders, Architects, Building Inspectors, Contractors and Project Managers. |
Instructor Profile:
A team of experienced and highly qualified professionals in designing and fabrication of HVAC system will conduct this course. |
Methodology:
The course will be delivered through lectures, multimedia presentations, videos and hands-on practice on modern CAD/CAM specific computers. |
Learning Outcome:
Participants will clear concept of HVAC design ,fabrication analysis systems.
They will be able to do design calculations and understant design capability, material selection and type of construction to minimize heat conduction, arrangement of glass to minimize radiation, ability to select compatible cooling (heating) units ,air handlers, and duct design to assure balanced flow rates. |
