TUSDEC (Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company) has been established by Ministry of Industries and Production to upgrade technology and skill of key and strategic industrial clusters.

TUSDEC has established NIDA (National Institute of Design and Analysis), a cluster of five state-of-the-art CAD/CAM Centres located in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Sialkot.

NIDA turns 'Concepts into Reality' by teaching design using contemporary software tools to help Pakistan's industrial sector overcome the dearth of 'digitally empowered' manpower.

NIDA is seeking quotations from reputable firms/vendors for software in following technical domains to expand its present range of courses.

1. Multimedia & Graphic Design Adobe Master Collection, Corel Draw Suite, Xara Xtreme (Equivalent or Advanced)

2. 3D Modeling and Animation Maya, 3DStudioMax (Equivalent or Advanced)

3. Metal Forming & Forging Simulation Simufact, QForm, Transvalor: Forge, ColdForm, AFDEX (Equivalent or Advanced)

4. CAD/CAM/CAE General Design, Analysis & Manufacturing Simulation Software

Preference will be given to software which operates on Open Source operating system; however, Windows based software may be quoted. For details, please contact:

Interested parties are requested to submit their sealed quotations along with the following information supported with relevant documentary proof to the undersigned by 08 December 2008 till 1200 hours.

Name of firm, address, phone, fax, email address & contact person(s)

Proof of authorized dealerships for the licensed software offered

Technical brochures & manuals with details of the software

Statement that the firm/company is not black listed or debarred from undertaking government projects

Please quote unit price of each item together with delivery schedule

Guarantee & warrantee must be clearly mentioned

Bidders must attach copies of their NTN and GST certificates with the tender

Bidders shall be required to quote their prices inclusive of all taxes

Validity period of Tender should be up to 120 days from tender opening date

Proof of financial stability

List of clients and details of services provided

Bids will be opened at 1430 hours on due date in the presence of bidders and representatives.
NIDA reserves the right to accept/reject any bid at its discretion.
