Introduction to Linux

Introduction:
This course will develop step by step approach to learn Linux operating system at beginners level,starting with basic introduction to Linux operating system, working environment of the OS,installation and basic commands required to operate the OS and its functions. This course is to prepare participants to know about the basics of Linux operating system and its functionality.

  • Participant Profile:
    This course is designed for students with minimum education level equivalent to F.A / F.Sc. ,Basic computer operators and those who are interested to learn server operating systems are encouraged to attend.
    Instructor Profile:
    The instructor has an excellent command in Linux operating system as a server operating system configuration of different modules like;Squid proxy server,Apache Web server,Mail server,SAMBA (Windows File Sharing Server),DNS Server,DHCP Server & Firewall.
    Methodology:
    This course is delivered through lectures, multimedia presentations, videos and hands-on practice on specified linux based computers.
    Learning Outcome:
    The participant will be able to use Linux environment and its commands in an efficient way and may be able to meet the modern era documentation and data control requirements on its software based tools.
