Introduction:
Computer aided design process has revolutionized the process of product design. Modern techniques have integrated the design cycle from concept inception to production drawing generation seamlessly. Time to market has been reduced substantially by the application of these methods. This course will focus on the product design in digital environment and design procedure implementation using CAD/CAM applications for better, efficient and fast product development.

Participant Profile:
Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineers, System Engineers, Design Managers, Senior Design Engineers, Academia and Final year engineering students. Participants must have basic level computing skills.
Instructor Profile:
Resource person has more than 4 years experience of product design using CAD. He has imparted training to experienced professional engineers of leading engineering concerns of the country.
Methodology:
The course is taught mainly through lectures, demonstrations and hands on practice on computers. Example Design Problems will be presented and discussed throughout the course. Group Projects will be assigned in the last session and participants will complete projects in NIDA Design Lab.
Learning Outcome:
Participants will be able to work along with professional design teams. Attendees will be able to design new products in 3D digital environment.
