Introduction:
The objective of this course is to teach designing phase including typography, colour theory and hone the skills in creative problem solving to learn how to meet the needs of print media such as logos, posters, magazines, newspapers, advertising, greeting cards and product packaging.
The emphasis is to build upon knowledge of design and fine-tune ability to use typography, layout, and colour theory to create eye-catching designs. Various Techniques of changing & enhancing the image through software like Corel Draw, Macromedia Freehand and Adobe Photoshop will be practiced.
Course coverage:
Designing & Development of logos (conceptual and pictorial)
Designing of stationary item such as letter head, Envelopes, Visiting cards, Greetings or Invitation cards
Designing of Road side and Highway hoardings
Designing of different types of banner long term and short term
Designing of different types of Poll signs, dimensional with lighting and without lighting
Designing of Magazine ads in different sizes
Black & white & coloured Press ads single column to full page
Designing of single leaf, double folding brochures
Designing of dust covers and titles covers
Designing of product and festival buntings
Participant Profile:
The course is intended for individual aspiring to join professions related to print media production, Students of Creative Arts, Individuals working in fields related to Graphics (with no formal education)
Instructor Profile:
A qualified and experienced graphic designer will teach this course. He has
an outstanding career in the field of graphic design and has worked with
number of multinational advertising companies.
Methodology:
Briefings, collection of relevant data, hand made or photographic references for computer inputs, application of above mentioned software’s with relation to the objectives of course.
Learning Outcome:
Participants will be able to create logos, posters, flex sign boards, advertising related to magazines & newspapers, greeting cards, product packaging, office letter heads, brochures and 3D models for product promotions and advertisement. They will be able to show creative and aesthetic skill of designing graphical products.
Participants with this training and portfolio will enhance their visual communication skills by enlightening their position in Advertising, Printing Firms, Multimedia Industry, Product Design or Packaging Industry.
