Introduction:
This course covers all aspects of design and fabrication of pressure vessels. The emphasis of this course is on ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1. The basis of various rules will be discussed for a better understanding of the codes. Based on the rules for pressure vessel design and construction, this course is a comprehensive introduction to the requirements of Section VIII, Division 1. The more commonly used subsections and paragraphs will be covered, and a discussion of individual problems or situations will be included.

Lead Vessel Engineer having years of experience in design, analysis and fabrication of pressure Vessels. He is presently performing consulting services to the pressure vessel industry.
Methodology:
The course is taught mainly through lectures, demonstrations and hand on practice on computers & papers. Example Design Problems will be presented and discussed throughout the course. Manual calculations, Computer aided design and analysis will also be done.
